I couldn't get to e-mail last week cause of Martin Luther King Day. So transfers were last Tuesday and I got transferred out and am now serving in the Rialto, 2nd/Inland Empire Samoan Wards, its pretty crazy I can't understand anything they are saying cause they are speaking Samoan in sacrament and a lot of the other time but its fun. We get fed at every appointment and its a lot of food too and it's good. Besides transfers nothing much is going on there are a few people we are meeting with that are progressing two of them will be baptized next month on the 13th, they are all way cool people. One of my mission leaders is a huge Samoan (well I guess most of the Samoans are pretty big lol) but he Brother Faimalo is one of those big scary looking Samoan that are way tough, he used to be a gangster running the streets of LA along with one of the councilors in the bishopric they are all way cool guys though, they are awesome. All last week it has been blowing and raining like crazy all the streets were flooded it was nuts, and there was a tornado warning around us a little bit. My new area covers the whole valley and even a little outside of the mission into Redlands so we go down there every now and then. All is good and the work continues to progress. Love ya'all tons.

Kevin also wrote and said that anyone can e-mail him. kevin_bruff@myldsmail.com But he would rather have letters sent to him because he dosen't have alot of time to read e-mails and answer them.
Thank you to everyone for supporting him. It means alot to us as a family.

To start with let me just say that I was telling him about our cold weather here. It has been in the -20 here this past week.
Here is his letter:
Wish it was that cold here. lol The weather has been nice its been in the 70's pretty much everyday, high 70's a few times it's crazy. We are still working with the Davies, the family I told you about and they are doing awesome they came to church this last Sunday, and they stayed for the first two blocks it was awesome. We had to give talks in Sacrament and they went really well the spirit was really strong. It was amazing cause there is this one guy named Eric that is married to my Mission Ward Leaders sister so they have been working on him for about 15 years, he isn't a member but he has been coming to church for a long time and he reads and prays like all the time, anyway these past few months he has been really softening up he is one of those few people that when they say they do something that they are going to do it, when he makes a commitment he takes it really seriously. He knows its all true and all that, he just wants to make sure its what he really wants and to make sure that he is ready before he makes such a big commitment. After church was over his brother-in-law, the Ward Mission Leader, and his home teacher decided that they were going to go over and ask him to take the discussions, so they were getting ready to head over when Eric's wife sent a txt saying don't come over its a bad time, so Brother Heywood (the brother-in-law) and Eric's home teacher decided to pray about it to see if they should still go over or not and right after their prayer they jumped up and said "we are going to do it". They went over and when Eric's wife opened the door she she was like what are you donin? I said not to come over it's a bad time, but then Eric showed up and he was like I can't believe you are here I was thinking about calling the Missionaries myself to tell them I was ready and he was sobbing and hugging them. It's amazing it was a miracle so we are figuring out a time to meet with him, he is away a lot due to his work schedule. So we are going to go start teaching him it's way cool how things work.
Things are going really good right now I'm so glad I could be apart of it.
I love ya'all

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!! Hope ya'all had a good one. I'm doing well. We only have two investigators and they are a less-active, part member family named the Davies they are way cool, the mother Susan, her dad is a Baptist preacher who lives in Oklahoma so when we first started with them she had a bunch of anti stuff that we had to work with but now have been working with them for a while and everything is going really really well they are progressing they were going to go to church this last Sunday but she got sick and the weren't able to make it. The dad, Dave, he is a less active member and he has a way strong testimony of the church it has blessed his life greatly, and their son Matt who is the other one that we are working with is way cool he is 15 and will be turning 16 here shortly, him and his mother are both black belts. They are a wonderful family. Besides that we are doing a ton of biking and tracting which is good I get to meet a lot of different and interesting people and a lot of different religions and all I have to say is that life is a lot different outside of little old Star Valley lol. I have also learned that the church is still true even in Southern California.
I love you all tons,

Welcome
I decided that this would be a good way to keep everyone updated on Kevin's Mission I noticed Corrie had done this for Cody and I really liked it so I hope she dosen't mind I stole her idea.
We talked to Kevin on Christmas and everything was going well for him, he is in Hesperia California it is just North of San Bernardino, it was 70 degrees that day and he said it was hot. He is hoping to be in the mountain area come summer. He is on a bike. He has had 3 baptisms, he also has done one conformation he said he was nervous but it went well. Here is his last e-mail he sent.
