Sounds like things were pretty exciting for y'all, I'm glad to hear that Kirsten had a fun trip over in India that's cool. well this week as far as missionary work goes wasn't the greatest both Wednesday and Thursday we where over at the doctors Wednesday for my comp and Thursday for my knee, which I'm getting an MRI done on it come this next Thursday to let y'all know. and than Thursday we spent from 1 to 8 at the Fontana Speedway (which is in the city of Fontana and is where they hold nascar events and such stuff) we were there helping out with some college thing, colleges from around the world come over and build formula one cars and than race them and stuff and we go help with security and whatever they need us to do. it was pretty cool they had a teams from Japan, Great Britain, China, and a bunch from around the USA like MIT and just a bunch of other colleges. o and also Thursday night I had food poison so that wasn't so fun but it didn't last long so that's good. Also we got some really awesome potential investigators that we should be able to start meeting with come next week so we are pretty excited about it. anyway hope all stays well for everyone and wish dad and grandpa a happy late Fathers Day for me and Kirsten a happy birthday. love y'all and god bless.

Thats way crazy about the weather it is so hot down here lol but thats pretty cool that you could go skiing in july thats tight. So on Sunday we had Alexis baptism it was way awesome she is such a cool young lady, she is so strong and has such a great testimony its just been awesome. I got a new comp Elder Floyd he is from South Carolina and also he was one of my roommates at the MTC so we are are having a blast and doing a lot of work its a blast. I am not being transferred but my comp is so we will see who he is. This week was good especially the weekend first off Saturday eve was probally the hardest day at being a missionary for me, cause in my area there is San Manuel Amphitheater where they host concerts and so on Saturday eve they had a Tim McGraw concert with Luke Bryan and the Band Perry, and man I wanted to go so bad and to make things better Friday night at dinner one of my members I found out works there and said that if I wasn't on a mission she could have gotten me in for free ugh :) o well i guess I'll just have to come back and try for it again lol. That aside Sunday was by far better during fast and testimony meeting our investigator Alexis got up and bore her testimony and said that she asked her parents for permission to get baptised her mom said yeah theres no problem there but her dad has been way negative and against it but when she asked he said if that's what ya believe in than its OK it was soooooooo cool to hear her say that it was a way awesome moment in the meeting she is such way cool young lady I'm way excited about it. and so well that's about it. love ya all and god bless.

Well sorry I wasn't able to email on Monday, but anyway not to much is different going on right now though we are about to set a date with Alexis the 16 yr old investigator that we have so its way tight we are just praying that her parents hearts are softened cause they are against it and shes going to be asking so we are holding our breath. but other than that though nothing has changed. transfers are coming up this weekend so ill let ya know what happens with that. Thats to bad about Mandy hope all goes well. Thats cool about the jeep so who is going to be driving that around? So as for me this week was crazy we met up with Alexis (16yr old investigator) at our Bishops house on Wednesday and taught her the plan of salvation it went way well she just soaks everything up and afterwards we watched the Prophet of the Restoration and sister case ( bishops wife) bore her testimony to her it was so cool, we are waiting for her parents hearts to soften and than she will be baptised. Then we did service for a former investigator named Jody her house had a mold problem so we went and helped her out for a few hours she would've been baptised by now but her husband wouldn't let her, which is a wierd case cause i think thay are still together but they live in seperate houses across the street from each other and he was there helping us out and he seemed like a really nice guy he was to us anyway so we don't quite know whats going on with them. then for a lot of the rest of the week we did a bunch of service for a few of the members and a less active guy and so that was about it. Well this week was pretty good we got two new investigators, a lady named Jody, that we have been trying to get a hold of for about a month or so we finally got in to see her and are going back over Wednesday to help her with some stuff with her house she is remodeling it and we are going to start teaching her too its going to be awesome. The other is a younger gal a sophmore in high school she was invited to come to church by some of the youth in my ward three weeks ago and has been coming ever sense my comp and district leader taght her on Saturday and commited her to baptism she said she wanted to but needs to get permission from her parents first. I wasn't able to be there cause i was at the Temple for Eimy she was a recent convert up in Crest Line she went and got her endownments and after we went to a sealing for some friends from there as well it was all way neat first sealing I ever been to it was a cool experience. Anyway that was pretty much my week I'll talk to ya all later. Love ya all and god bless.

This was the e-mail I got on Monday after we talked on Mothers day. Kevin is doing really good, it was so fun to hear his voice again and kind of exciting because at the end he said "well I guess the next time I talk to you it will be at the Airport". I can't believe how fast yet how slow the time has gone. I look forward to him being home yet I will miss having two missionaries out. What a joy and blessing this experience has been for our family.

So this week was pretty crazy first it was p-day then we had transfer meeting on Tuesday and my roommates took my car. On Wednesday the entire mission went down to meet up with the Riverside Mission at Moreno Valley to listen to Elder Clayton of the 70 and Elder Perry which was way awesome. I was able to see Ricky Fairbanks and we took a couple pics it was cool to be able to see him there, he will be home in 2 weeks. Then Thursday was district meeting all morning, Friday weekly planning and on Saturday we all did "mormon helping hands" we helped clean up this field along side a road it was nice to get down and dirty lol. That was pretty much my week. glad to hear ya all are doing well I think I'll be calling sometime in the morning but I'm not sure so we will see when the phone rings ;) lol take care ya all and God bless

I got the package thanks it was awesome the noise puddy was pretty funny lol. i cant wait tell Wednesday we are all going down to Moreno valley to join up with the Riverside mission to meet with elder perry its going to be so awesome. and it'll be cool to see Ricky Fairbanks before he goes home he is in the riverside mission. so transfers have come up and both myself and my comp are staying together so its going to be good on Saturday we had an Easter cantata with the stake it was cool the choir did good and there was a ton of cool art work there including one that was drawn back in like 1675 and it was an original so that was way cool. so i love ya all a ton. god bless.

This weekend we are having an Easter cantata thing with the Stake so we have been going around passing out flyer's and stuff for it this past week. Other wise it was kinda the same ol same ol here nothing much exciting went on wait, never mind scratch that on Thursday we went over and dug a few trenches for some sprinkler pipe for a less active part member family, they fed us dinner which was way good it was beer up a chickens butt out on the grill. We also shared a lesson with one of the helpers that was there helping out it was nice. God bless ya all.

So I hope yer enjoying all of that snow for me lol ;) well lets see this week was not a good week, most of our ppl canceled on us and we weren't able to see them. Though we were able to get into a new less active part member family that we will be able to start teaching on Wednesday they are needing some help with digging in some new sprinkler pipes for their yard so we are going to help them with that and in return they will feed us and we will be able to give a lesson which is going to be awesome. Yeah grandma's friend works in the office she is a way cool lady I like her. Conference was awesome as usual. I really liked Uchtdorfs and Pres Monson's talks they were pretty funny and way spiritual they all were, Conference is just awesome. Priesthood session was pretty sweet too mom when ya get the chance make sure ya read the talks from it they were great. This last week we did a ton of service we used a weed whacker to mow one less actives yard which we weren't able to finish so tomorrow we are going to go and finish that and we also went and raked up some leaves and pine needles for a couple of older Lady's in the ward. So I got sun burnt a little lol it was in the 90's this past week then its going to cool down to being in the 70's or 80's this week though lol. Well love ya alls take care and be safe. God bless

Hey Dad!! I'm still in the same area its pretty small and we cover the ghetto of San Bernardino a place called Muscoy it is pretty neat down there lol. the weather can't make up its mind its either raining or sunshine but either way its still pretty warm. As for transfers they ain't for another few weeks still in April sometime I don't remember when lol. This past week we did a ton of work with less active they have been kinda our main focus. This next week is going to be really good due to General Conference cause that is always a really good one to get non members and less active to its pretty bomb to listen to the prophet. love yall and take care.

Well most of this week I was sick so we didn't get a lot done which ain't good. Yesterday was our Stake Conference with Elder D. Todd Christofferson which was awesome. He talked a lot about the Holy Ghost the importance of families and again what President Monson asked for at general conference the need for more missionaries and really talked about Senior Couples the need for them to go. He also informed us that all the missionaries in Japan are all fine and are accounted for and the most of the members also have been accounted for there are a few that they haven't found yet and fear the worst for them but for those that were accounted for non have died. Along with Christofferson Elder Packer of the Seventy was there he mainly just bore his testimony about the Holy Ghost both were really good talks we enjoyed them a lot. After the meeting Elder Christofferson invited everyone to come up so he could shake hands with them and after myself and Elder Purccel and Elder Tausisi two of my earlier comps got a picture with him it was neat. also next month Elder L. Tom Perry will be coming down to visit the mission so we are way excited for that too. so that was my week for the most part. Yeah i got the package it was great thanks I was a little confused on where the shirts came from at first lol. love ya all.

Yeah i did hear a little about the Japan thing some members were telling us about it that's way crazy what happened way sad too. So story for grandpa hmm lets see.....hmm there are so many all the times that he took me fishing all those times (and there are a lot of those :)) going out up the road from there house and being pulled on their old sled in the snow and riding on the four wheeler and of course all the camping trips that we went on with them. There are just so many stories and good memories that we have had that its hard to just think of a couple, I love them all. I love spending time with my grandpa!!
So transfers have come up and nothing is happening my comp and I are both staying. Things are going good we have worked a lot with less active this past week going over and talking to them to see why they are less active and see what we can do to help them. I got sick yesterday so we only went to the first part of church. next Sunday is our Stake Conference and the are redoing the Stake Presidency is being changed up so Elder D. Todd Christofferson is coming down to do it so it will be cool to be able to meet him. He will be the 4th apostle that I have met while on my mission.

Well this week wasn't really that good of a one we had a lot of ppl cancel on us. Cindy a less active we are working with hurt her traipses muscle, and others like Sister Colbert weren't home, but ya get those kinda days every now and then so the best thing for us to do is to keep going on and keep doing the work. Boy do i miss the snow lol ;). so this past week was a long one we had meetings pretty much all week, we had zone conference on Tuesday which lasted pretty much the entire day than Wednesday we had a temple trip and on Thursday it was district meeting, so Friday and Saturday were our only two full days to get any work done which they went good we went and saw a few less actives and part members those days and were able to get to know some of them and set some things up to help them out so it was good. well that was my week hope yall stay well and god bless.

Well I ain't got much to say this week nothing has much happened we saw Sister Colbert she is doing awesome her mom moved out down further south to live with one of her other children so we just sat and talked with her along with Brother Baker a member from the ward which was pretty cool. Something cool on the 5th we are having Elder Scott come down and talk with the mission so that's going to be really cool. and right now I can't really think of much of anything lol. and its about time for me to get heading in been a long day. love ya'll. and be careful back there ;) lol

Yeah I heard about the plane crash I know the Elder a little bit but not very well his name is Elder Johnson. My new area is pretty nice its a small ward (think i already said that though) the ppl are way nice and into missionary work so its pretty cool the other day we got a new investigator Sis Colbert her brother died last November then her Aunt died in December and last month her Dad died so its been pretty rough on her we found cause we went to go visit her mother who is a less active but she wasn't home so we talked with her daughter instead (investigator) who is Methodist it was a really good talk we talked about the plan of salvation mostly and also gave her a Book of Mormon to read she is bomb. Her husband was out back tinkering around on a few things they have an old '73 chevy pickup that they have lifted up and put some big ol tires on lol pretty sweet I think. well that was most of my week yall take care and get better. I got transferred down to San Bernardina into a small ward that only had 88 ppl at church this past week. My comp is from Ohio his name is Elder Laulusa (his grandpa is Samoan that's where his name comes from) he is pretty cool. We white washed into the area (Case ya don't know what that means it just means that we are both new to the area the two missionaries there before us both got transferred out, they were the sisters too actually lol) so we spent most the week getting to know the members the Bishop and ward mission leader and such. cool story we were out trying to see some past investigators and what not, when we saw someone moving into the house next door so we went and helped they had some waaaaay nice saddles and tack so after we were done moving them in I started talking to the owner who was an older lady they turned out to belong to her husband who had passed away a while back from cancer, the cool part though is that her husband was in some films with John Wayne one of them being Stagecoach (which she has the original script for it) and his saddles one of them was a cavalry saddle that was hand made that he had in the film he also help train ppl in the military on how to ride horses and she also had a hat there that was given to him by Paul Newman which she let me put on for a little bit it was pretty neat to talk to her about that stuff and also she and her son who was there could be (probably over time) taught they were way nice, we could probably be able to go and teach them it was pretty cool lol. and so well that was what happened this week. love and miss ya'll.

We are just starting a new transfer and nothings changing both me and my comp are staying which is good we both thought that he was going to be leaving we're glad he isn't ( After Kevin wrote this he found out that he was being transferred ). Gabrielle is doing pretty good she didn't come to church yesterday which is not good we have a meeting with her tomorrow so we will see whats up then she is doing good though in her other places with the word of wisdom with smoking and drinking which is way good. We also have a family that moved in from Lake Arrowhead not to long ago with two kids one about 16 or so and the other who is about 12 around there I'm not quite sure yet we have only met with them once on the doorstep to set up a meeting with them which we have tonight actually which will be pretty sweet. the two kids are the only ones not baptized in the family. So this week is going to be a good one I'm excited :). anyway i love ya all take luck.

Hey Mom,
So things have definitely warmed up here its all green and stuff lol. On Sunday Gabrielle (investigator) and her son Chance (Recent convert) came to Sacrament meeting they had to leave early so they couldn't stay for the rest but it was so way cool to see them there it was the first time that we've seen Gabrielle come, so sweet!!! so that's the only real big thing that's happened lol we got a new investigator as well Elder Daines talked with him on the phone for about 45min or so one night and he wants to meet with us this next Sunday his name is Tony and he has a problem with drinking and drugs and stuff ya know the usual lol. He was drunk when Daines was talking to him it was pretty funny some of the things but he was way cool too. I love ya'll and miss ya.

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! that's way cool that dad got ya a new dishwasher bet that's pretty helpful sorry i didn't get ya anything :(. I got your calender it was awesome thanks. So today we went and met with an Elder that went home early then came out with me, Elder Ward. His hair was way long it was crazy. so ya everything is back to normal now that the holidays are over. We have an investigator Gabrielle she is so close to baptism but she hasn't come to church yet its really frustrating but what ya gonna do right? so we just keep going over when we can and keep on teaching her. So not to much has happened this week but it is finally snowing thank goodness its been snowing all night so we got a few inches of snow right now so this next week looks like it will end up being more of a service week going around and shoveling ppl out its going to be awesome lol. so I can't remember if i told ya all about the goose i pretty much killed. so a while back a member asked us to go and help give a blessing down the hill so we went and outside the hospital is this little scenic pond with trees and what not and around it are all these ducks and geese so we were like huh cool and just kept going we went up gave the blessing and then headed back out and while we are headed back over to the trucks I'm like huh i want to throw this little rock that i found on the ground at one of the geese just to startle it, yeah know me not the brightest some times lol. So i did but it just so happened that at the same time the goose i had designated as the target turned and i hit it in the back of the head and it started to freak out and go crazy and i was like o man oops. The member just turned and he said you got to remember that ya are not in Wyoming any more, and so my comp and i left and as we did the goose was head down not moving any more so we thought i had killed it. I'm like that's not good and i started thinking that we could go back and get it and then we could cook it up and eat it that would make a nice Christmas dinner don't ya think? but we didn't we just kept going not till later did our member tell us that the goose was fine that i had just knocked it silly and it was all good lol. Pretty good huh lol well I love and miss ya all.

So nothing new has happened its been raining like crazy the past few days so that along with the holidays has really slowed the work down for us up in the hills everybodys gone or way busy with family or what not so i dont really have much to say. So yeah about the midnight (the exchange of area that happened) well there is a few things that happened to lead up to it. One is that for the last few weeks before they moved me I about got into a fight with my ward mission leader he said some things about my last comp (Elder Brewer) that he really shouldn't have been saying and Elder Brewer is probably my most favorite comp that I have had so far so i about said some rather non missionary like things to him but i didn't I just kept my mouth shut and walked off but I really would have liked to hit him though. but instead i just told the higher ups the APs whats going down, and took care of it that way he the ward mission leader later on apologized and we just kept going doing work but i have lost respect and all liking of him. so that's what happened on my end. the real reason that i got to where I'm at now is that the missionary i switched with he started flirting and getting to close with a 25 yr old recent convert up here so they needed to move him out before it got any further and so they just switched us. and I'm not complaining. so this last week as been really just getting to know the area a little and some of the ppl. we have one investigator that is close to baptism the only thing holding her back is she lost both her parents within a short amount of time and she blames God for her lose and she ain't ready to let go of that so we working with her and trying to help her get over it and to move on. other than that though because of the holidays a lot of the ppl we are working with are out of town so we cant get a hold of them till after. that's about it well i love and miss ya'all.

Not much happened to talk about cause last Monday night I got midnighted out of my area and I got moved up to Crestline which is in the mountains so I'm way excited. I just might get a white Christmas. My new comp is Elder Daines he is from Logan he went to Sky View High School and was in a couple of Tyler's classes with him( Tyler is Kevin's cousin) I'll try to write more next week Love ya all and miss ya

I got a New Comp he's from Oregon and a really different dude, but we get along and its all fun, we got a new investigator this past week his name is Nick he is so cool. He doesn't know anything about religion nothing at all so we are teaching from square one about Jesus and God. He is the boyfriend of one of our members its way cool it won't take long before he gets baptized. Thanksgiving we went over to the Francis, there was a ton of food and a ton of pies over twenty pies so it was good lol. We are still working on getting Sister Bartolini to get to know more people and members, and this was a rough week for Sister Flores she spent a lot of time with family and what not getting her mind off of the death of her son. As for Alex I'm not to sure what we're going to do about him just keep praying and working with him and hope that he will be able to change his mind about praying to the Virgin Mary, but well that's about it for me I love ya all and miss ya.

Well this past week has been interesting to say the least, our investigator Mary the one whose sone was taken over by "Jesus" well this last Saturday he died I'm not sure how if it was intentional or an accident, but she was taking it pretty hard we went over the plan of salvation with her and got the Relief Society to go over and take her stuff and to give her comfort.
Alex came to church and in Gospel Principles we were talking about prayer and he has a thing about praying to the Virgin Mary so that took up the whole class and got one of the members in that class pretty upset cause we went away from the lesson, it's good though Alex didn't get upset at all he is so awesome and such a funny guy. We gave Sister Bartolini a blessing her pain has been worse because of the of the cooler weather.
We got a new investigator he is the boyfriend of the member we ate dinner with his name is Nick, he doesn't know anything about Jesus or God or anything so we are going back to square one with him and teach him everything. The member reminds me of Mandy she is crazy, and dyes her hair way spunky she makes me laugh her name is Sally. We went and helped her with her car it was broke down at a store, she couldn't drive it back and it was a stick shift so I was the only one that knew how to drive it, boy it has been a long time sense I drove a stick, it was way fun.

Well the baptisms had to be pushed back unfortunately to Nov. 27th, and Dec 4th due to different things and no we weren't able to give that guy a blessing he never came out. But I think he is just mentally ill we talked with our mission Pres. and he agrees so there ain't to much that we can do to help him out which is quite sad I wish we could do more. We are meeting with his mother, we showed her the video "Joseph Smith the Prophet of the Restoration" which is an awesome movie, then we talk about prophets and she wants to see some talks given at conference so we are going to get some and take them over and watch them with her. The older lady is doing well, we are getting her to meet more ppl and come to church more which is hard cause of her medical problems but she is an awesome lady.
